The Wallace + Wallace Difference
Home / Service & Repair / Our Installation Process
We have the widest range of residential fences and gates in Winnipeg and can customize installations to ensure a perfect fit for your property. We believe that building a quality fence, one guaranteed to stand the test of time, begins well before the first post is pounded.
Here are some things you should know upfront – the potential for extra costs, your responsibilities, payment terms, etc.—details that are important but too often get buried in the fine print because they’re inconvenient. We put our fine print upfront because we believe one feature of a job well-done is a job without any misunderstandings.
We will contact Manitoba Hydro/BellMTS on your behalf and arrange for them to mark the location of any public utilities on your site. This generally occurs a couple of weeks before your installation date (see #1 in Fine Print above).
We will remind you to mark any customer-owned (private) lines, such as sprinkler systems, electrical, or other lines connecting buildings on your property (see #1 in Fine Print above).
Pre-existing fences or trees, overhanging tree limbs, and bushes within the fence line will need to be removed by you unless specifically included in our quote.
The day before your installation date, we ask that you remove any debris or other obstructions to the fence line so our crew has a clean, safe worksite.
Please ensure your pets are contained during our visit. Before we start, our installers will do a quick walk—through with you to confirm the following:
Before leaving, we will ensure your property is tidy.
You will receive a follow-up to ensure your fence was installed as expected and to ensure there are no oversights or deficiencies.
Once approved, we will collect the remaining balance of your invoice and send you a receipt by email. We will send you a copy of our warranty. We’ll ask you to leave a review on Google so that others can find us.
